Samba police arrests 2 more hardcore criminals

SAMBA, Jan 8 : Samba police have apprehended two more hardcore criminals from Jalandhar (Punjab) and Majalta (Udhampur) in attempt to murder case of Shahzadpur Ramgarh in which one local youth Pankaj was attacked and injured with sharp-edged weapons.
The apprehended persons have been identified as Amit Kumar code name “Sharabi” son of OnkarNath of Ward No. 1 Pakki Mandi, Samba and one more accused.
Earlier on December 31, police had arrested one hardened criminal identified as Radhey Sham alias Shamu son of Som Dutt of Shehzadpur, Ramgarh. Thus, police have succeeded in apprehending three accused involved in murderous attack on Pankaj.
Police said on 19.12.2023, a group of miscreants carrying sharp-edged weapons attacked Pankaj at village Shahzadpur while he was playing volleyball and severely injured him. Police registered FIR U/S 307, 323, 148 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Ramgarh, started investigation and raids to nab the accused. So far, three accused have been apprehended, weapons of offence and vehicle Maruti ECO belonging to accused Sham used in the commission of offence have also been seized by the police.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh said that police is conducting in depth investigations adopting highly professional approach to crack all cases and apprehend all accused and their aiders and abettors. As many as 170 hardcore criminals have been arrested by Samba Police in past eleven & half months and PSA is also being clamped.
