UDHAMPUR, Jan 8: Police arrested a narco smuggler from Lehnu-Katra road and seized a small quantity of heroin like substance from his possession.
Police team from Police Post Tikri led by PSI Sahil Chib, while performing vehicle checking at Lehnu-Katra road, noticed the movement of one suspicious person who was stopped.
On frisking, 4.5 grams of heroin like Contraband substance was recovered from his possession following which he was arrested on the spot. He was identified as Ankush Mehra alias Anku, son of Late Madan Lal of W No. 02, Barrian, Udhampur.
A case vide FIR No. 05/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in P/S Rehambal and further investigation was set into probe.
