Palga Rinpoche delivers lecture on spirituality in modern life

JAMMU, Jan 9: Palga Rinpoche, a distinguished spiritual leader, emphasised the crucial connection between modernity and spiritual practices.
He was delivering lecture in a seminar, organised by the Ladakh Phanday Tsogspa, in collaboration with Yuva Bharat and Buddhist Department at the University of Jammu, here today.
Rinpoche underscored the importance of cultivating calmness in mind and body through meditation in today’s world, where youth grapple with confusion and sensitivity, often resorting to destructive paths.
His lecture was enlightening and inspired youth to follow the right path and participate in positive events.
Palga Rinpoche, who was main speaker of the seminar, focused on practices of modernity and spiritualism. He said that in modern world we need to focus on calmness of our mind and body through the practices of meditation. Today’s youths are confused and more sensitive towards their life, he added.
Prof Virender Kundal, Director of the Department of Strategic and Regional Studies, University of Jammu, who was guest of honour on the occasion, spoke about the need of practices of spiritualism and simultaneously hard work like Swami Vivekananda and many more saint did for the achievements of ultimate goals of Vishaw Guru when the country will observe its 100 independence day.
Earlier, Prof Shohab Malik, Head of the Buddhist Studies Department, welcomed the guests. Parmit mentioned about the aims and objectives of Ladakh Phandey Tsogspa. Dr Chhering Tandup, Assistant Professor and Convenor Ladakh Phandey Tsogspa, gave brief introduction of Palga Rinpoche.
The session was followed by question answer sessions and Palga Rinpoche replied all the genuine questions. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr Chhering Tandup, Assistant Professor, Bhaderwah Campus and Ladakh Phandey Tsogspa Convenor. The event was efficiently managed by Dr Thinley.
