JAMMU, Jan 9: The BSP today demanded polling through ballot papers and restoration Statehood to J&K.
Flaying the Union Government for unemployment, J&K BSP general secretary, Rajesh Gupta claimed that people have lost faith in EVMs and if the ruling Government is fair enough then there should not be any hesitation to conduct elections using ballot papers.
In a handout he said that people of Jammu region have been facing discrimination in every sector for last more than 73 years.
The BSP leader said that nationalist people of Jammu kept on suffering discrimination in the fields of jobs, development of tourism, industries, infrastructure, road network etc.
“The successive Governments at the Centre continued their appeasement policies towards Kashmir centric politics due to which the divide between Jammu and Kashmir widened,” Gupta maintained.
“J&K has huge capacity for power production. Despite harnessing thousands of megawatts of power, it’s kept in dark. The people of J&K rightfully deserve a share of that power which is produced here,” he continued.
