JAMMU, Jan 10: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Forum, under the leadership of JKTF Chairman Ganesh Khujuria called on Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo in his office chamber at Civil Secretariat Jammu.
During the meeting, the JKTF submitted a memorandum of demands and issues of the employees of the School Education Department. JKTF said that the GPF cases of the employees were still pending despite Rs 500 crore being allocated to the GPF by the Govt.
JKTF demanded adjustment of left out Headmasters at the vacant positions, DPC of Master to Headmaster, filing up the vacant positions of Principals, ZEOs and Lecturers, promotion of Masters/Teachers who have attained the PG Degrees through Distance/Correspondence modes and fulfilling the conditions under SRO 940-Edu of 2017 dated 17-11-2017, transfer policy for the Teachers recruited under RET scheme, bringing the teachers of JK UT at par with teachers of other UTs, enhancement in the Medical Allowance of the employees, updation of final seniority list of different PG subjects, implementation of running grades in favour of the Officers of the School Education Department, removal of pay disparity of Masters in the pre-revised pay scale, implementation of Minimum Wages Act for consolidated paid workers (CPW), PM Poshan Cooks, Land donors, Chowkidaars etc working in the deptt, creation of Non-Plan posts of Masters working in the erstwhile upgraded SSA schools in the larger interest of smooth functioning of schools. removal of pay anomaly of the teachers appointed under SRO 202 during the year 2019, revisiting of the Zonation before ATD -2024 etc.
JKTF also urged the Chief Secretary to revoke the controversial order according to which the Government employees can’t protest.
The Chief Secretary assured necessary action and directed the delegation to submit these demands to the Secretary School Education Department.
Thereafter, the delegation also met Dr Piyush Singla in his office chamber and submitted him the memorandum.
Those who were part of the delegation, included Thoker Bashir , Jamait Ali Aga, Javid Ahmad Bhat , Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Mohd Akbar Dar, Peer Sharief-u-din Bharat Bushan Sharma, P D Singh, Zahoor Ahmad Mallah, Iqvinder Pal Singh and Subash Chander.
