RAJOURI, Jan 10: The police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest from the last about nine years in Rajouri area today.
Official sources said that that in a drive against absconders, Rajouri police nabbed a wanted accused who was evading his arrest in a case since 2015. He has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Kanshi Ram, resident of Sangiote village.
Police team from Police Station Rajouri led by SHO Inspector Aejaz Ahmed Wani, raided different suspected locations and in one such raid arrested the accused absconder from Sangrampur, Argi area of Rajouri.
The accused was evading his arrest since long in case FIR No.179/2015 of Police Station Rajouri and a general warrant was issued against him by the Court. After apprehension, the arrested accused person was further produced before the court of law.
