BANDIPORA, Jan 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ul Rehman Rather, today undertook a comprehensive inspection of the main market including Gulshan Chowk Bandipora, followed by visits to the under-construction multi-storey car parking and the S K Sports Stadium.
On the occasion, the DC interacted with shopkeepers and members of the market association, assessing their concerns and needs for the continued development and beautification of the main market, especially Gulshan Chowk.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, urging shopkeepers to adopt sustainable waste management practices. He also assured them of full support from administration in addressing infrastructural challenges and promoting beautification within the market.
The DC also visited the under-construction multi-storey car parking facility, a much-anticipated project aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in the town. He reviewed the progress of the construction work, urging contractors to adhere to the set timelines and ensure quality standards.
He also toured the S K Sports Stadium, where he took stock of the condition of the old pavilion besides proposed site for new pavilion which is set to enhance the overall ambiance and spectator experience.
The DC was accompanied by ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi Pandit, Tehsildar Bandipora Sheikh Tariq besides others.
