PSC lecturers call on CS, Admn Secy Education

JAMMU, Jan 12: A delegation of All JK +2 PSC Lecturers’ Association led by its Provincial president, Manjeet Chib called on Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo and urged him to fulfil the long pending demand of career progression.
The delegation apprised him the issue of stagnation faced by the cadre. Chib informed Chief Secretary that stagnation in the cadre is a chronic disease which needs to be addressed on priority basis. Chib said that +2 lecturers are the worst sufferers because there is no provisions of time bound / career progression.
The delegation apprised him the demand of financial up gradation of +2 lecturers. Manjeet Chib infirmed Chief Secretary that the file of Assured Career Progression is lying in the office of Principal Secretary GAD. Chib requested Atal Duloo to intervene and implement the scheme of career progression as envisaged in NEP 2020.
He said that +2 lecturers are striving hard to convince the Government to fulfil the demand but still a distant dream. It is pertinent to mention here that it is for the first time under the administrative control of LG that the voice of +2 lecturers is being heard and serious initiatives have been taken to address the problem of stagnation.
The delegation also met with Administrative Secretary, School Education, Dr.Piyush Singla and discussed the issue of deputation of lecturers to SCERT and associated DIETs. The Administrative Secretary assured that the grievances shall be examined and will be redressed accordingly.
The delegation also met Special Secretary Kanta Devi and Naseer Ahmed Wani and submitted a representation forwarding suggestions with regard to ATD 2024.
Chib was accompanied with Mansoor Ahmed Khan provincial president Kashmir,M A Katoch general secretary, Sandeep Sharma chief coordinator, Sanjay Gupta Chief organisor, Mohd Shafi, Mohd Iqbal Paddhar, Sohil Riyaz, Sandeep Gupta, Javaid Iqbal Naik, Sunil Kumar, Dr. Danveer Singh, Swarn Singh .
