Efforts underway to identify miscreants who helped Lau Gujjar escape, FIR registered: SSP Jammu

JAMMU, Jan 13: The police are actively working to identify individuals involved in aiding Lau Gujjar’s recent escape from the clutches of a police party in Bishnah Town.
“While an FIR against the unidentified persons under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Bishnah sincere efforts are being made to identify all the miscreants who resorted to stone pelting on a police team to help Lau Gujjar escape,” SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar said.
Asked about the special strategy made, if any, to arrest the criminal who is involved in several crimes, including attempt to murder, rape, criminal intimidation, NDPS, and attacks on police personnel, the SSP Jammu said, “our police teams are trying their best to ensure that the criminal is put behind the bars soon.”
Pertinently, on January 11, a police party aiming to arrest Lau Gujjar, encountered a barrage of stones from a house in Waziru Chak area in Bishnah, where the latter was believed to be hiding.
In the attack, a police jawan, Bansi Lal, suffered injuries while Lau managed to escape.
