Protests over admin units continue

Srinagar, Feb 4: Protests against the Government over new administrative units continued in across the Valley today.
Reports said hundreds of angry people staged a massive protest in their respective areas against the Government for not including their villages in new administrative units.
In Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, villagers took to streets and staged anti Government protests. Barsoo area was ignored by the Government,the protestors  said, wowing they will continue to protest till their area is not being granted tehsil status.
In North Kashmir’s Pattan town, residents of Gund Khawaja Qasim held a protest rally in the area, demanding a Teshil status to their area.
In South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the residents of Khrew continued their protests for the consecutive third day for teshil status. The protesters threatened of a massive agitation against the Government in case Khrew is not granted tehsil status.
Hundreds of residents from Lurgam, Tral, took to streets for granted tehsil status. Protests were also held in Ganiwan Kangan, Tahab, Kaprin, and Wachi.
Lassipora observed complete shutdown for the consecutive third day against the Government for ignoring their area.
