Proxy Govt of BJP proves total failure in J&K: Sagar

JAMMU, Jan 15: Former Minister and general secretary of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) has asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s proxy Government in J&K is a total failure.

Sagar expressed this while addressing a meeting of Provincial Working Committee of the party at Jammu. The highlight of today’s meeting was passing of a resolution to condemn the Govt for not conducting the Assembly elections in J&K besides causing unnecessary delay in holding the Panchayat and ULB polls.
Sagar said that BJP’s proxy Government in J&K, run by the Administration led by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has proved to be an utter failure on all fronts with common people left to fend for themselves. He said the people of Jammu region who were promised the moon by the BJP, today feel betrayed by the saffron party. Even the BJP leaders know better that people of this region are waiting to teach them a lesson. BJP’s fears losing the elections and this is the reason that the Govt has adopted delaying tactics even in holding Panchayat and ULB polls in J&K. He claimed that only NC rule in J&K can bring smiles back to the face of people.
Dr Mustafa Kamaal underscored a deep-rooted concern for the overlooked plight of the people in Jammu across diverse aspects. He pointed out that the region, with its unique cultural and strategic significance, had often been sidelined in national discourse. He highlighted infrastructural gaps, inadequate social services, and economic disparities that have persisted over time. He stressed the necessity of tailored policies to address these specific challenges and ensure the holistic development of Jammu.
Provincial President R L Gupta said it is an irony of the people of Jammu that despite having voted for BJP they themselves became the worst victims of its policies. He said that the miseries of the people have further multiplied with none in administration to listen to them. He said that people have now realized that only NC can provide solution to their every problem.
