POONCH, Jan 15: In connection with Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, an impressive `Nagar Kirtan’ was taken out by Sikh community members in Poonch town, here today.
A large number of people participated in the Nagar Kirtan, which started from Gurdwara Singh Sabha and passed through main bazaar, Chowk Bazar, Darooni Bazar, Nakhawale Chowk and Parade Bazar before culminating at the starting point, Singh Sabha Gurdwara.
Police and Civil administration had made elaborate arrangements for the smooth passage of Nagar Kirtan, which was organized under the banner of District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Poonch.
President of Gurdwara Singh Sabha Committee, Narender Singh led the Nagar Kirtan, in which a large number of people, including women and children participated.
On this occasion, Station House Officer, Poonch Insp Deepak Pathania, including local administration officials and people from different communities were present.
