KISHTWAR, Jan 15: Police here today arrested a notorious liquor peddler and recovered 24 bottles of JK Desi Whiskey, 750 ml each, from him.
Cops from Police Station Kishtwar led by SHO Kishtwar, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday during a routine checking at a naka intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK17A-5424.
During checking of the vehicle cops recovered 24 bottles of illicit liquor from one Rahul Kumar, son of Rakesh Kumar, resident of Damna Dool, Kishtwar and he was arrested.
In this regard, an FIR with number 15/2024 under Section 48 (a) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
