7000 banned tablets seized, peddler held

RAJOURI, Jan 15: The police arrested a local man and recovered huge consignment of banned drugs/ tablets from his possession in Rajouri area today.
Official sources said that a team of police headed by Deputy SP Headquarters, Rajouri Mudassar Hussain along with SHO Rajouri Inspector Aejaz Ahmed Wani and Incharge Police Post Rajouri City, intercepted the accused in Rajouri town and during his search/ frisking recovered 7000 banned tablets (Tramadol/Tependadol) from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Sheikh Azar (32), son of Rehmatullah, resident of ward No 8, Rajouri. He was arrested and a case registered against him. Further investigation was in progress.
