RAMBAN, Jan 15: The movement of vehicles on busy Jammu-Srinagar National Highway will remain suspended for six hours during night for two days from January 16 midnight.
An order issued by the District Magistrate, Ramban today said that in view of the urgent repair and maintenance work and installation of jet fans/ventilation at Tunnel T-5 in Panthyal area besides launching of girders at MNB-19 (Flyover) in Ramban sector, the movement of vehicles has been suspended for 6 hours from 12 midnight to 6 am on the intervening night of January 16 and 17, and again next day from 12 midnight to 6 am on the intervening night of January 17 and 18, 2024.
Project Director, NHAI, Ramban-Udhampur Sector, PK Phonsa, however, said that there will be no restrictions on the movement of vehicles between Srinagar/Kashmir and Banihal and on Jammu-Udhampur-Chenani-Batote-Doda-Kishtwar routes during this period. He said this decision has been taken for the safety of travelers, drivers and other road users.
