ADGP Jammu inaugurates free medical camp

JAMMU, Jan 16: An ongoing training program for the second batch of investigating officers in Jammu district concluded at DPL Jammu today.
Chaired by Anand Jain, ADGP Jammu Zone, the valedictory function marked the successful completion of the initiative aimed at enhancing the investigative abilities of police officers and officials ranked from SPO to ASI.
A total of 74 police personnel participated in the training program, receiving instruction from experienced police and prosecuting officers.
The participants, grouped into 26 teams, underwent hands-on practice to sharpen their investigative and case-writing skills.
The grading results showcased three participants as “excellent,” 12 as “very good,” 33 as “good,” 19 as “satisfactory,” three as “average,” and four as “poor.”
Chief Guest Anand Jain commended the efforts of the trainees and the training team.
Certificates of participation were distributed, accompanied by on-the-spot cash rewards of Rs 2500 for three “excellent” participants and Rs 1000 for 12 “very good” participants.
The valedictory function was attended by other officials, including Dr Vinod Kumar, SSP Jammu, Ramnish Gupta, SP Hqrs Jammu, Pooja Nijohn, Senior PO, DPO Jammu, and K D Bhagat, DySP DAR Jammu.
Simultaneously, District Police Jammu organised a free medical camp in collaboration with Team SIBA and Police Hospital Jammu at DPL Jammu.
Inaugurated by ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain, the camp aimed to provide comprehensive health check-ups and medical facilities to police officers, officials, and their families.
The medical camp featured doctors and specialists from various departments, offering services such as orthopedics, ophthalmology, dentistry, oncology, gastroenterology, gynecology, and general medicine.
Participating hospitals and labs included Amandeep Hospital, Shankus Cancer Hospital, JK Medicity, Dr Acharya Ayurveda, Path Square Lab, Sehora Dental Hospital, and Police Hospital Jammu.
Approximately 550 patients benefited from free medical consultation and treatment during the camp. Free medicines were also provided to patients in need.
The event witnessed the presence of other officials, including Vinod Kumar, SSP Jammu; Ramnish Gupta, SP Headquarters Jammu; Meenakshi Kotwal, MS Police Hospital Jammu; K D Bhagat, DySP DAR Jammu; Siddharth Verma; and Baljeet Singh from Team SIBA.
