Mortal remains of martyr Pritam Singh consigned to flames with full military honour

KATHUA, Jan 18: The mortal remains of martyr Sepoy, Pritam Singh were consigned to flames at his native village Msngli in Hatli area near here, today.
Hundreds of the mourners drawn from civil, Army, police, ex servicemen, family members and relatives of martyr joined his funeral procession which started from his residence. A pal of gloom descended his native village and Hatli area as martyrs mortal remains were consigned to flames.

The Army Jawan attained martyrdom at Pooch in a road accident during the duty hours yesterday. He was posted in JAKLI at forward area of Poonch sector. The Martyr Pritam Singh (25) was very gentle and dedicated in his service. He has one more brother serving in CRPF.
The family members got the unfortunate news from the Army about the tragic death. They were shocked and whole village was in pal of gloom after getting such sad news. His body reached today at his residence in an Army vehicle and his last rites were performed with full military honours.
The youth were raising the slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai, Pritam Singh Amar Rahey while carrying the body in a procession for cremation. Before the last rites, floral tributes were paid and Army and police personal joined the wreath laying ceremony. The Full Army honour was given to martyr Pritam Singh and his last rites were performed by his brother.
