Theft cases worked out; stolen items worth over Rs 8 lakh recovered

JAMMU, Jan 18: With the arrest of two individuals, Police in Domana area here claimed today that they have solved several theft cases by recovering the stolen items worth over Rs 8 lakh.
A police spokesperson said that information was received at Police Station Domana regarding thefts in the area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana.
On this, he said, different cases were registered at Police Staiton Domana and investigations started.
Post registration of FIRs, he said, special teams of Police Station Domana led by SHO Domana detained two suspects for questioning. They were identified as Mohammad Waqar @Mithu of Choudhary Naar Rajouri at present Pollyhill Sunjwan Jammu and Aslam Choudhary of Channi Rama, Jammu.
During questioning, the police spokesperson further said that the suspects confessed to their involvement in the thefts and on their disclosure, stolen items worth Rs 8, 35, 000 were recovered.
Further investigations into the cases are underway, he said.
