KISHTWAR, Jan 18: A residential house along with household items worth lakhs of rupees kept inside it suffered heavy damage in a devastating fire at Zelana area here today.
As per reports house of one Shravan Sen, son of Ashok Sen was in flames all of a sudden and the flames engulfed a major portion of the house.
The house owner along with his family was at Jammu at the time of incident and the house was locked.
Spotting flames the neighbours came out and started rescue operation and after getting information of the fire more locals joined them.
Fire and Emergency Services Department was also called and Tehsildar Kishtwar, Red Cross Team along with Police also reached the spot and the fire was doused but by then the blaze had caused heavy damage.
Reason of fire could not be ascertained till last reports.
