NEW DELHI : The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on the second consecutive day of the extended Winter Session following noisy protests over bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and atrocities on Tamil fishermen by the Sri Lankan authorities.
Earlier, the proceedings were disrupted till 1200 hrs on the same issue.
When the House re-assembled at noon, Speaker Meira Kumar said she had received three sets of notices submitted by Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy(YSR Congress), Sabbam Hari(Congress) and Modugula Venugopala Reddy (TDP) to move a No Confidence Motion against the Centre’s proposed decision to carve out Telangana from Andhra Pradesh.
She said unless there was order, she would be unable to count the support of 50 members in favour of the motion and ascertain whether leave was granted to take up the motion or not.
