JAMMU, Jan 19: A drug peddler was arrested with 40 grams of heroin from Narwal area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Bahu Fort assisted by incharge Police Post Narwal while on naka duty at Narwal area rounded up a suspected person later identified as Sonu of Valmiki Colony, Jammu.
On search of the suspected person, he said, 40 grams of heroin was recovered.
The accused has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 16/2024 under sections 8/21/25 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation taken up.
