2 persons found dead in Manjakote, Kandi

RAJOURI, Jan 20: Two persons were found dead in two separate incidents in Manjakote and Kandi (Kotranka) area of Rajouri district today.
Official sources said that the body of an unidentified man, whose age is said to be around 35 years, was found in a mysterious condition in a drain in Deri Ralyot area under Manjakote police jurisdiction today. Some people noticed the body and informed police.
The police immediately reached the spot and recovered the body and shifted it to the Government hospital at Manjakot. The police launched further investigation. The police have registered a case under suspicious circumstances.
Meanwhile, dead body of a person who was missing for the last 3 days, was found under mysterious circumstances in Kandi area today. Police said body of a resident of Kalia in Kotranka sub division of Rajouri district, who was missing from Thursday, was found under suspicious circumstances today.
Identified as Mohammad Shabir, son of Shah Mohammad, he had gone from home to Kotranka market for some work on Thursday but did not return home. The family, after searching a lot later lodged a missing report with the police. His body was recovered from Kharia Gali today.
According to the police, some people saw the dead body lying in the street and informed police. The police immediately reached the spot and took the body into custody and shifted to CHC Kotranka. The doctor handed over the body to the family after conducting post-mortem and completing other formalities.
The family termed it a case of murder and demanded a fair investigation, saying that some one had murdered Mohammad Shabir and thrown his body away. Police have registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances and have started further investigation.
