KEEWA delegation calls on MD PDC

JAMMU, Jan 20: A delegation of Kashmir Electrical Employees and Workers Association (KEEWA) led by Om Parkash, senior leader Low Paid Employees Federation called on Managing Director (MD),Power Development Corporation (PDC) and highlighted the demands of PDC employees before him.
The other members of the delegation included Mohammed Javed Shah, secretary LPEF, Mohammed Shaban Bhat chief organizer, KEEWA, and its president, Nazir Ahmed Magrey.
The delegation demanded formation of rulers and regulations and norms for PDC, securing of PDC projects, land and buildings, regularisation of daily, contractual and need based workers, filling up of vacant posts of officers and officials and rationalization of staff in the Corporation.
The delegation also demanded insitu promotions and settlement of pending SRO 43 cases, release of Hardship Allowance, transfer of employees who have served in power projects in far flung areas to their home localities, grant of effect to daily rated workers regularised in 2012 from the date of issuance of order, providing of executive and technical posts for USHP Stage Second as is case with other projects and creation of a Welfare Fund for the employees of PDC who are performing hard and tough duties which can be utilized in case of a death of an employee or in case of accident.
The Managing Director after listening the demands assured the delegation that these issues will be looked into sympathetically.
