JAMMU, Jan 20: Police in Satwari and Bakshi Nagar areas here claimed today that they have arrested two notorious drug peddlers under the PIT NDPS Act.
A police spokesperson said that one Rashpal Singh alias Sunny alias Anda of Upper Gadigarh, Jammu, was wanted in several cases of drug peddling registered against him at different police stations.
A warrant of arrest under PIT NDPS against the accused was also issued by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
Acting on reliable information, the warrant was executed today with the arrest of the accused by a team of Police Station Satwari led by SHO Satwari and incharge Police Post Gadigarh.
Similarly, one Bobby Mehra of Toph Sherkhania, Jammu, was wanted in multiple cases registered against him at Police Stations Bakshi Nagar, Janipur, Gangyal, and Ramban.
An arrest warrant against the accused under the PIT NDPS was also issued by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
The arrest warrant got executed today with the arrest of the criminal on specific information by a team of Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO concerned. He has been shifted to District Jail Kathua.
