JAMMU, Jan 23: The 127th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Subhash Chandra Bose was celebrated today with great enthusiasm across Jammu and Kashmir.
Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) held a function in this connection at Maheshpura Chowk, Jammu under the supervision of FFMA chairman Rajiv Mahajan and patron Ved Gandotra. Floral tribute were paid to the great Martyr by garlanding his statue. The speakers threw light on the life history of Netaji. Among others who participated in the function were Karnail Chand (working president), Pritam Sharma (senior vice president), JJ Singh (general secretary) and Parbhat Kapahi.
The Day was celebrated as ‘Parakram Diwas’ by Government Degree College, R S Pura (Jammu). NSS and NCC units of the College jointly organized a seminar on the life and contribution of Neta ji. In seminar presentation, Amit Digra, Ayush Kumar and Suresh Mehra of semester 1st secured first, second and third positions, respectively. The faculty members present on the occasion were Dr Rajinder Sharma, Dr Sudesh Kumar, Dr Rakesh Kalotra, Dr Renu Sharma, Prof Dipika and Dr Hari Singh.
A district level painting competition was organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya GC CRPF Bantalab, as part of the nationwide painting competition organized by the Ministry of Education on the occasion of Parakram Diwas, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. More than 90 students participated and they were awarded with Certificates and Exam warrior book authored by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ipshita Singh (KV GC CRPF Bantalab), Harustat Kour (KC International School) and Aditi Dhar (KC Public School) bagged first, second and third positions in the competition, respectively.
To celebrate the occasion, Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh zonal unit Batote organized a special program ‘Kartavya Bodh Diwas’ at the zone headquarters in Batote. The event, held to commemorate the ideals of Netaji, was graced by Vippan Sharma (district president Ramban) as chief guest. Rahul (a social activist) was the keynote speaker while Sanjay Katoch (a respected figure) was the guest of honor. Notable individuals such as Pritam Singh (district Koshaadhyaksh) and Pawan Kishore Sharma (district media Prabhari) shared their insights and perspectives.
Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) held an impressive function on Janipur-High Court Road at New Plot to pay rich floral tributes to Netaji Subhash Chander Bose. A large number of people of all religions paid tribute to the hero of the freedom struggle of India. Sunil Dimple (president, MSJK) while paying floral tribute to Netaji described him as a hero of the freedom struggle of India.
The NSS and NCC units of SPPND GDC Samba came together in a spirit of unity and patriotism to celebrate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. The function witnessed the enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, students and the staff. On the occasion, an impressive group song was organized to pay tribute to the freedom fighter. While addressing the students, Prof (Dr) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the College, told the students to uphold the values and principles for which leaders like Netaji Subash Chandra Bose stood.
