JAMMU, Jan 23: A notorious drug peddler was arrested under the PIT NDPS Act by police in Sidhra area here today.
A police spokesperson said that Mohammad Dillawar of Chenani, Udhampur, at present Gulshan Nagar, Ragoora, Jammu, was wanted in several cases of drug peddling registered at different police stations.
A warrant of arrest under section 3 of Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act 1988 was also issued against the drug peddler, he said.
Executing the arrest warrant, he said, a team of Police Post Sidhra, led by incharge Police Post, raided a suspected place and arrested the accused and later shifted him to District Jail Kathua.
