JAMMU, Jan 24: Newly appointed AICC secretary and Incharge of Odisha, Shahnawaz Choudhary called on AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and AICC general secretary (Organisation), K C Venugopal at AICC headquarters, New Delhi today.
Hailing from border district of Poonch in Jammu region, Shahnawaz extended gratitude of the party leadership for giving him opportunity of serving party on important position and assured them that he will leave no stone unturned to strengthen Congress party in Odisha.
Shahnawaz also discussed political situation of Odisha with party leadership and later he left for Odisha where party leaders and workers welcomed him at Bhubaneswar airport.
He met PCC president at Odisha, Sarat Patnaik and other leaders of the state. He took stock of preparations for Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra which will enter Odisha in coming days.
Local leaders of Odisha Congress welcomed him. Choudhary also reviewed organisational structure and activities of Odisha Pradesh Congress.
