RAMBAN, Jan 24: Police here today has taken cognizance against five youths accused of posting objectionable content on social media platforms.
Acting promptly under the guidance of SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma, three different FIRs under numbers 26/2024, 27/2024 and 28/2024 have been registered at Police Station, Ramban under relevant sections of the law.
SSP Ramban said that all social media platforms are under the constant watch and all posts and comments are being monitored very keenly by the Cyber Cell of District Police Ramban.
She said that strict action will be taken against all those posting anything provocative to spread hatred.
District Police Ramban has appealed to people to maintain harmony and desist from using social media platforms to spread hatred which might vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the district.
