JAMMU, Jan 24: Two drug peddlers were arrested with 14 grams of heroin-like-substance from Akhnoor area here today, police said.
They said a party of Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Akhnoor, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma, was conducting patrolling at Old Bridge, Bhambarwan area, when a biker tried to flee on seeing the police.
“He was chased and overpowered by the alert jawans. During search of the biker and his associated, 14 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered,” police said.
The duo identified as Rohit Sudan and Sahil Kumar of Kalas Kulliyan, Miran Sahib, RS Pura, Jammu have been accordingly booked in case FIR number 20/2024 Under Sections 8/21/22/29/60 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation taken up.
