KATHUA, June 25: Two dead bodies of a young boy and a 15-year-old girl were recovered from forest area of Dhar Dugnu in Basohli area today.
SDPO Basohli, Mohd Rafiq, said that on the basis of information provided by a local villager, the police party led by SHO rushed to the spot. The police party examined the spot and shifted the bodies of both to hospital for postmortem. He said both were missing from their residence for the last two days.
The police found poisonous stuff (a bottle of insecticide) lying near the bodies. It was said that both the boy and girl who were students of 12th and were in love with each other. The families opposed their relation and they went for this extreme step.
They were identified as Kirpal Singh, son of Mast Ram of Dhar Dugnu and Radha, daughter of Deep Kumar, resident of Dhar Khud. The police registered a case and started investigation. The bodies after postmortem were handed over to their respective families.
