JAMMU, Jan 25: In a grand display of patriotism, the ABVP unit of Jammu University organized the “Bharat Gaurav Yatra” on the eve of 75th Republic Day.
The rally commenced at the flag post and culminated at Bikram Chowk, with students from all departments and professors joining the march.
JU Vice Chancellor, Prof Umesh Rai flagged off the Bharat Gaurav Yatra, setting the tone for the spirited event. While addressing the students, he said this type of events should be organized on the campus and all students must take part in the same.
Dean Students Welfare Prof Prakash Anthal, Dean Research Studies Dr Neelu Rohmetra were also present on the occasion.
ABVP Jammu University Unit president, Sahil Choudhary said that the rally’s goal is to inspire and strengthen nationalism in the youth. He said situation of Jammu Kashmir is changing now after the abrogation of Article 370 and the UT is on the path of development.
Suhani presented vote of thanks. Sanak Shrivats (State Joint Secretary, ABVP J&K) and Chahat Anand (NEC Member) were also present and students from 30 Departments joined the Tiranga Yatra.
