DODA, Jan 25: Massive fire broke out here today in forest area of Forest Range Bhallessa, Forest Division Bhaderwah.
Some miscreants have allegedly set fire on the forests adjoining the Sub Division Gandoh near Sub District Hospital Gandoh and SDPO Gandoh Office.
The blaze damaged green gold worth crores of rupees.
The Forest Department was trying all-out efforts to put-out the fire but the flames were terrible and devastating and it seemed very difficult for them to douse the blaze.
Locals of the area have demanded that the Police should arrest the miscreants behind setting the forest on fire.
As per official sources fire broke out this evening in forest area measuring about 4 kanals.
After getting information, Forest Department staff reached the spot and with the help of locals started operation to douse the flames.
Late in the night Range Officer Bhallesa, Suresh Jamwal informed that the fire was doused with the help of locals after a tough struggle.
