Theft case solved, three thieves nabbed

JAMMU, Jan 25: RS Pura police has claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting 3 thieves and recovering stolen items worth Rs 1,64,000 on their disclosure.
“On 20-01-2024, a written complaint was lodged at PS RS Pura by one person namely Arvinder Singh son of Tara Singh of Badila (RS Pura) stating that on 08-01-2024 during intervening night some unknowns persons broke into his house and stole a Bullet motorcycle, Inverter battery, LCD and a pair of silver bracelet,” a police spokesman said.
He said accordingly a case FIR Number 20/2024 U/S 457/380 IPC was registered in Police Station RS Pura and during investigation of the case, two suspects identified as Rohan Kumar alias Gourav son of Bobby Kumar and Shiv Dayal alias Sunny son of Rajinder Kumar, both residents of Telli Basti (Bari Brahmana, Samba) were rounded up.
“During questioning, both the accused confessed their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure, all the stolen items were recovered,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
