JAMMU, Jan 25: A young woman today made an abortive bid on her life by hanging herself at her residence in Bakshi Nagar area.
“The woman identified as Payal Gupta wife of Vikrant Verma was however saved by her husband who timely noticed her hanging and shifted immediately to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for medical treatment,” police sources said.
As per sources, the woman was critical in the Hospital and was not fit for giving any statement to the Bakshi Nagar Police, which had taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation in the case.
