Govt hikes monthly remuneration of MGNREGA supporting staff

JAMMU, Jan 30: The Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has approved enhancement of monthly remuneration of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) supporting staff.
In a Tweet, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said, “enhancement of monthly remuneration of MGNREGA supporting staff has been approved thereby fulfilling their long pending demand. The move will benefit around 4000 employees. J&K Administration is committed to the well-being of all the staff and their families”.
As per the official data, at present Gram Rozgar Sewak (GRS) is getting monthly emolument of Rs 6806 and monthly remuneration after hike will be Rs 10209. Similarly, Technical Assistants are presently getting Rs 11000 per month and after hike they will get Rs 16500.
The MISOs are getting Rs 11000 monthly emoluments and after hike they will get Rs 13200 per month. The Administration Assistants, who are presently getting Rs 6808 per month, will receive Rs 10209 per month.
The Div MIS are presently getting Rs 34375 per month and after hike they will get Rs 41250 per month. Similarly State MIS will get Rs 49500 per month as against Rs 41250, which they are getting at present. The Computer Assistants are presently getting Rs 15125 per month and after hike they will get Rs 18150 per month.
The hike in remuneration was long pending demand of MGNREGA supporting staff and finally the same has been considered by the Lieutenant Governor. Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department persistently worked for providing much-needed relief to these employees.
