Ramnagar people deprived of all basic amenities: Pathania

JAMMU, Feb 9: People living in hilly Ramnagar are still living in a stone age as they are deprived of all the basic amenities.
This was stated by RS Pathania, general secretary, Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC), while addressing public meetings at Ladana, Pangyal, Satyein, Geeran, Tagan, Dallian and other hamlets.
He said that people are still bereft of clean drinking water, electricity with good-voltage, unscheduled power-cuts and un-metered power-bills, proper employment avenues in Ramnagar.
While lambasting claims of development and work culture in Ramnagar, he said that but for acting as a parasite and promoting corruption, misgovernance, favouritism, nepotism and contractor-politician nexus, sitting MLA has done nothing to address multi-dimensional developmental as well as employment-related needs of the people of Ramnagar.
Pathania demanded Health Sub-Centre at Laddana, electrification of un-electrified hamlets/pockets in these villages, appropriate provision of staff in HS Satyein, HS Bari, Middle Schools at Ladana and Tagan, Primary Health Centre and full-fledged Higher Secondary School at Satyein.
He also decried sub-standard execution of work on Tagan-Satyein road and demanded immediate start of work on Dallian to Satyian road and finalization of Gadera foot-bridge.
Among others present were Charan Dass sarpanch, Karnail Chand, Dara Singh, Idrees, Mohd. Akbal, Jagmohan Kurhan, Ranjit, Sakandar, Gopal Dass, Avtar Singh,  Romesh Sharma Panchayat chairman, Ranjit Singh, Kissan Cell President, etc.
