JAMMU, Feb 9: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a demonstration along with, the hundreds prominent citizens, traders on the Janipur High Court road here, against the rising rapes and crime rate against the women in the country.
The protesters burnt the effigies of the rapists, demanding the Government should take strict action against them, set up fast tracks courts and even change the law to give death sentence to rapists.
Sunil Dimple clear to clear its stand and come with a stringent law dealing firmly with rapists so that no one dares to tease a female in future.
He also urged the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to clear the facts on the floor of the Assembly about the facts to restore the confidence of the people of the State in the Ministers as they have lost the faith on them.
Dimple alleged simply twitting by Chief Minister that the resignation was accepted can not heel up the damages done by the act of Shabir Khan and it is the duty that in the Assembly all Ministers, MLAs should pass a resolution and condemn this act to restore the confidence of the people on Ministers and MLAs in future.
