MD ECHS visits Akhnoor poly clinic, interacts with ex-servicemen

JAMMU, Feb 1: Managing Director of Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Maj Gen Manoj Natrajan alongwith Dy COC of 10 Infantry Division, visited ECHS Poly Clinic at Akhnoor and interacted with ex-servicemen today.
Then members of the governing body of the Ex-Servicemen Association Akhnoor led by its chairman Lakhbir Singh, Naval Veteran had meeting with Maj Gen Natrajan. The chairman voiced the concerns and grievances of the ex-servicemen of Akhnoor zone regarding medical treatment at local ECHS Poly Clinic. In view of the heavy rush at the OPD and also increasing strength of the ex-servicemen, it was stressed upon the ex-servicemen for the upgradation of ECHS Poly Clinic at Akhnoor to the higher category of the Medical facility with good infrastructure. They also demanded specialist doctors at the Poly Clinic.
The Managing Director assured the chairman and other ex-servicemen that the demand projected will be considered shortly. Maj Gen Natrajan resolved several demands on the spot and passed on verbal orders to the concerned authorities at Jammu. For hassle- free referrals in the empanelled hospitals, the strict instructions were passed on by the Managing Director to the concerned officers in Akhnoor and Jammu area.
It was also informed that shortly ECHS app will be launched for the convenience of the ex-servicemen so that waiting time can be saved at hospital/ clinic’s OPD. They can book their appointment with doctor through app.
The Chairman commended the role of Commanding Officer of 170 Military Hospital and Col ECHS Cell for their support.
