RAJOURI, Feb 2: To review the developmental scenario of the District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Rajouri, Advocate Naseem Liyaqat chaired a review meeting with the DDC Members here today.
The meeting was held in the presence of Vice Chairperson District Development Council Shabir Khan and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat.
The CEO District Development Council Pawan Kumar highlighted accomplishments under the District Capex Budget, SSY, APDP, ABDP, TSP, and UT Capex.
The DDC Chairman directed the BDOs to meet set deadlines for physical and financial targets.
It was informed that a substantial progress has been achieved under PMAY-G and Awas Plus with the completion of 36,648 houses out of the target of 62,343.
The Chairman reviewed the status of 42 works, directing executing agencies to expedite progress, it was further told that 400 works out of 434 works have been completed by Ground Water and Drilling division.
During the deliberations, the DDC Members also raised crucial issues of their respective areas and sought repair of roads, augmentation of water supply in areas facing scarcity, amplification of healthcare infrastructure, construction of new roads, provision of electricity poles, repair of handpumps, speedy implementation of JJM schemes and RDSS, completion of work on Badala Mang Bridge and circular road, augmentation of power infrastructure, strengthening of receiving stations etc.
The Chairman passed necessary directions to the concerned officers for the early redressal of the issues.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat emphasized the importance of a cohesive partnership between administration and elected public representatives.
He directed officers to expedite the pace of progress and adhere to the set timelines for ongoing projects so that necessary benefits are provided to the general public with the completion of the projects.
