JK Police arrest drug supplier from Punjab

SAMBA, Feb 4: Police in Samba District claimed today they have arrested a major drug supplier from Tarn Taran area of Punjab.
Kulwinder Singh of Gujjarpur, Tehsil Khandur Sahib, District Tarn Taran, Punjab, was wanted in connection with a case under investigation in Samba, a police spokesperson said.
“His arrest has been executed on the basis of backward link investigation in a case involving the arrest of notorious heroin smuggler Farman Ali of Balole Khad, who was caught for allegedly transferring money amounting to Rs 4.50 lakh to a Punjab based supplier and possessing a cash amounting to Rs 1.29 lakh,” he said.
According to the police spokesperson, the accused was arrested by a team of Police Station Bari Brahamana, led by SHO Bari Brahamana with the assistance of Tarn Taran Police under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahamana, Mukund Tiberwal.
