JAMMU, Feb 10: All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) has demanded immediate passage of Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Religious Places Bill.
The chairman of the Committee Vinod Pandita who met the Law and Parliamentary Minister, Saifullah Mir during the Selection Committee meeting here today demanded that all temples and other religious places of Hindus in Kashmir Valley from Uri to Jawahar Tunnel be included in the Bill for their proper management and protection.
He said their should be no pick and chose as passage of the Bill will be major Confidence Building Measure (CBM) measure between Government and Kashmiri Hindus.
Pandita said that Government has given assurance to him during his fast unto death at Jammu and hunger strike at Porbandhar Gujarat that it will enact the law but till date nothing was done.
He took serious exception to the statements that Pandits left the Valley without caring for religious places and said that his organization right from 1990 had been on the job of renovation of temples and shrines in Kashmir.
