UDHAMPUR, Feb 5: In a road accident, an 18-month old baby died while his parents and a sibling were seriously injured when an unidentified vehicle hit the Scooty, they were riding, here late last night.
The accident took place near Green Bar Udhampur and according to the police report, an unidentified vehicle hit a Scooty bearing Registration number JK14G-2257, which was on its way from Channi Morh towards Udhampur.
Locals rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared one 18- month old Keshav Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar of village Birnoo, Ramnagar.
The injured persons were identified as Ramesh Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of village Birnoo, his wife Neha Devi and their 3- year old son Rishav Kumar. They were referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment.
Udhampur Police have registered the case and launched investigation to trace the vehicle involved in the accident.
