BSF flags off ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour for school children

JAMMU, Feb 5: Seven days ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour for the school children was flagged off by BSF here today. The tour was flagged off by Inspector General, D K Boora, Jammu Frontier BSF.
During this tour, 35 children (20 boys and 15 girls) will get an opportunity to visit various prominent monuments in Jodhpur and Jaipur, Rajasthan. Children will also get a chance to meet the Governor of Rajasthan during the tour.
Speaking on the occasion, IG D K Boora, interacted with children and said that this tour will not only give the children opportunity to enhance their knowledge but also give them exposure to better understand Indian culture, customs and traditions which are quite different to theirs.
He further said that besides guarding the border, BSF is also playing an active role in promoting National Integration by organising Bharat Darshan tours for the students of remote areas.
The IG BSF greeted the children on this occasion and informed that such tours provides exposure to the students hailing from the border areas about the rich heritage, culture and grandeur of our nation and help them to understand the unity in diversity of India.
