JAMMU, Feb 5: The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) orchestrated the successful finale to the Jammu Trade Fair 2024, an unprecedented initiative in the Union Territory, showcasing its potential as a transformative force in the region’s trading landscape.
The five-day extravaganza unfolded from January 31st to February 4th, 2024, at the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium of Jammu University, leaving an indelible mark on the economic and cultural fabric of Jammu & Kashmir.
Despite being its maiden voyage, the Jammu Trade Fair emerged as a resounding success, generating robust business interests, witnessing impressive sales, and providing a fertile ground for networking and collaboration.
Commissioner Secretary of Industries & Commerce Department, Vikramjit Singh, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest, alongside Khalid Jahangir, MD JKTPO, Arun Manhas, Director Industries & Commerce Jammu, and Atul Sharma, MD Handloom & Handicraft Corporation.
The event, a convergence point for businesses, exhibitors, and visitors, facilitated economic growth and community engagement.
A daily cultural show showcased the artistic prowess of young talents from J&K, adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the fair.
Vikramjit Singh expressed gratitude during the closing ceremony, acknowledging participants, sponsors, and attendees for contributing to the grand success of the Jammu Trade Fair 2024.
He commended JKTPO for orchestrating the event on a self-sustaining basis, stating, “The overwhelming response demonstrates the resilience and potential of the business community in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Exhibitors presented a diverse array of products and services, ranging from traditional handicrafts to cutting-edge technologies. The fair acted as a bridge, connecting local and national businesses with a diverse audience, fostering networking and collaboration.
