Woman crosses over to PoK with daughter

POONCH, Feb 6: A young married woman, hailing from Salotri village in Poonch district crossed Line of Control along with her one and half-years-old daughter and reached Pak occupied Kashmir on Saturday.
Family members of the woman said that on February 3, Shabnam Bi (24), wife of Ghulam Rabbani, went to Poonch city, telling that she was going to meet her sister. When she didn’t return, her husband called her to come back but she didn’t return.

“We started searching her and later came to know that she had not gone to her sister’s house. It was learnt that a vehicle dropped her at Khari area. Later her brother told that he received call from Dubai that she has reached Bandi Abasspur area of PoK,” they added.
The husband approached Police Post Jhulas where a missing report was lodged. Pertinent to mention that the lady have two daughters, one is one and half years old who she has taken along with her, while another is four years old who is continuously shedding tears and searching her mother and all other family members are also worried for the lady and her baby girl.
Family members said that many people have crossed the border in the past and Governments have repatriated them to their countries and we too urge Governments of both India and Pakistan to intervene and bring the woman and her daughter back to India.
