BSP holds review meet of Jammu East, Jindraha-Gharota segments

JAMMU, Feb 6: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) State president Darshan Rana, continuing his public ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyaan’, on Tuesday visited different villages of Jammu East and Jindraha-Gharota Assembly constituencies of Jammu division and discussed about the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
During the meeting, Seniors BSP leaders and workers including Hari Chand Thapa, Satpal Bhagoria, Girdhari Lal and Mohan Lal were also present with Darshan Rana. Addressing the meetings held in village Toote Di Khui, Sakettar and Kaputa, Darshan Rana said that Lok Sabha elections can be announced any time in the country and after that assembly elections are also to be held in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The party workers should be fully prepared so that the Party can participate in these elections with strength,” he said adding, BSP will field its candidates on all the Lok Sabha and Assembly seats of J&K and the Party may also announce the names of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections soon.
He said that in view of the elections, BSP is organizing village-to-village meetings as part of its ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyaan’ and today under this campaign, the Party workers are visiting the villages of Jammu East and Jindraha-Gharota assembly constituencies. Discussions have been held to strengthen the party, he added.
The State BSP chief asked the party workers to form party units at the Panchayat and village levels and take the Party’s policies to the people so that the Party can win these elections and solve the problems of the people. He said that BSP is the only political party in the country which talks about the rights of the poor and backward people of the society.
Darshan Rana said that till date all the Governments that have come to J&K have not done any work for the welfare of the common people. He said that inflation is continuously increasing and the unemployment in rural areas is also in upward trend.
