Retirees Police League holds monthly meet

JAMMU, Feb 6: The monthly meeting of the Retirees Police League District Jammu was held here today under the chairmanship of S Karanjit Singh, President of the League.
A statement said that the meeting began with a two minutes’ silence to pay homage to the departed souls of Inder Mohan Bakshi, SSP retired, S Harvinder Singh, DySP and Inspectors Sanjeev Gupta and Raj Mohammad.
It said the meeting discussed issues related to medical facilities for the retired police personnel in the Government and Police Hospitals.
The office bearers of the league demanded that the retired police personnel should be given priorities in the police hospitals and free medicines like armed forces.
They also sought immediate repairs in the office of the retirees and exemption of the fees for the retirees in the GO mess.
All the retirees also called for immediate conduct of the meetings with the retirees at the Zonal and Range levels.
The retired police officers who attended the meeting included Ranjit singh, Ch Chirag Din, Makhan Lal Sharma, Prabhdyal Sahrma, Savita Parihar, Ch Gulzar, SR Datta, Pawan Khajuria, Vijay Gupta, Yoginder Singh, Mohinder Singh, Ch Bhag Ram, Khalil-ur-Rehman, Mohan Singh, Kamal Sharma, Mohammad Sadiq, Mohammad Taj, Satpal, Manohar Kumar, Prakash Kumar, and Ashok Kumar.
