RAMBAN, Feb 7; Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader and district president, Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen has called for urgent attention of the LG administration to the plight of the victims affected by the recent devastating fire at the Banihal vegetable market in which 75 kiosks were completely gutted on Monday.
Shaheen visited the site of the tragedy to offer support and assess the immediate needs of those impacted. The fire, which ravaged the bustling market, has left numerous families grappling with profound loss, displacement, and economic uncertainty.
He emphasized the importance of immediate intervention of the Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to alleviate the sufferings and sanction a special relief package in favour of the fire victims so that they can rebuild their lives and businesses.
Expressing his deep concern for the welfare of the fire victims, Shaheen underscored the importance of swift and comprehensive assistance from both Government authorities, Charitable organizations and public. He urged all stakeholders to mobilize resources and extend a helping hand to those grappling with the aftermath of this tragic event.
During his visit, Shaheen interacted with affected vendors listening to their grievances and offered assurances of support in their time of need. He pledged to tirelessly advocate for their rights and work towards securing the necessary aid to facilitate their rehabilitation and restoration.
NC leader was accompanied by the party district vice president and Banihal Beopar Mandal president Parvez Ahmed Sheikh, Block president Banihal Haji Abdul Ahad Shan, Youth Provincial vice president Tariq Ahmed Dar, Abdul Hamid Khan, Abdul Rahman Zohda, Farooq Malik, Tanveer Dar and others.
