Koul, Manhas inaugurate Vishwakarma Yojana training camp at Nagrota

JAMMU, Feb 7: Ashok Koul, general secretary (organization), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, inaugurated a training camp for the Vishwakarma Yojana in the presence of Shamsher Singh Manhas, former MP (Rajya Sabha) at Nagrota.
Somnath Khajuria, senior leader BJP, Sunil Prajapati, president, J&K BJP OBC Morcha and Gourav Khajuria, Chairman, GK Educational Trust were also present on the occasion.
The programme was organized by the GK Educational Trust Training Partner NSDC.
Ashok Koul, on the occasion, spoke about the importance of PM Vishwakarma training camps and boosted confidence in the trainees by discussing a variety of opportunities lined up and guiding them to avail maximum benefits from such schemes. He said that the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, being run across the country under the guidance of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is an initiative to acknowledge and support the traditional artisans, who were earlier carrying out these 18 listed trades with minimal recognition and support.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said that by running such schemes, the Prime Minister has given everyone a right to come and take training wherever they are skilled in the work they want to do. He said that the person availing the benefit can start work with the Government’s support. He said that after the successful training period, the bank will provide the trainee a subsidized loan for the smooth operations of the technical work.
Sunil Prajapati highlighted salient features of the Vishwakarma Yojana asserting that it has the full potential of empowering the aspirants be it the youth including women or other artisans and crafts-persons.
He said that a total cash benefit of about Rs 4000 will be given to each trainee/ beneficiary of the Vishwakarma Yojana during the training camp.
Gourav Khajuria complimented all the dignitaries for their auspicious presence during the inauguration. He also said that the PM Vishwakarma Scheme is a great initiative by the Government of India & encouraged all the Vishwakarma Community to avail maximum benefits from such schemes.
