MENDHAR, Feb 11: The people from Mendhar area including Sarpanchs and Panchs and activists from Congress Party held demonstration and blocked Mendhar-BG road for several hours in support of former MoS Health Shabir Khan.
The people led by Sarpanchs assembled at main chowk here and raised barricades at around 10 am. They started protest and demanded that Shabir Khan be taken back in the Ministry as he was innocent. They also alleged that Khan became victim of political conspiracy and the allegations raised against him were false. They continued their protest up to 1 pm. Later, Tehsildar and SHO Mendhar reached the spot and intervened. The people then lifted dharna and cleared road.
